Urban Designer - London-based | Salary: £42,000–£46,000 | Start: ASAP
We are seeking a passionate and talented Urban Designer to join a dynamic, collaborative planning team working across a range of global, cross-disciplinary projects. You will be supported by senior design leadership and project managers, contributing to the design, development, and delivery of high-profile masterplanning projects.
This opportunity begins with a landmark project in the Middle East that carries a strong legacy and long-term impact. You’ll work within a dedicated 12-person team formed specifically for this project—offering hands-on experience in shaping large-scale urban environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Planning team, Lead Designer, and Project Manager to test and develop design ideas
Translate design concepts into clear, presentable formats for client presentations
Coordinate day-to-day workflow and manage technical delivery aspects
Contribute to both standalone planning projects and integrated efforts with other studio sectors
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Urban Design
Previous work on large-scale, high-density, mixed-use masterplans
Middle East project experience is a plus but not essential
Skills & Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Urban Design with an undergraduate degree in Architecture (Part II or equivalent)
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and 3D modeling (Rhino or SketchUp)
Experience with Revit is advantageous (training can be provided)
Strong English communication skills—both written and verbal
Team Environment:
You’ll be joining a Planning team of 10 Urban Designers and Landscape Architects, known for their collaborative spirit and supportive culture. The team works across sectors including Mixed Use, Sports + Entertainment, Healthcare, Science + Technology, and Public & Institutional.
