An established small Interior Design practice in East London are looking for a Junior / Mid weight Interior Designer to join their team.
This practice offer design services from concept through to technical design and works on site around the UK. They focus mainly on Hospitality and Leisure projects.
Working closely with the Lead Designers and Company Directors you’ll be part of all stages of the design process. This is an opportunity to get right into all aspects of the designs including concepts to seeing the projects on site. You’ll be expected to help out with all of the process from FF&E to issuing drawings and administration support when required.
The successful candidate must have an interest in Leisure and hospitality interiors and already have a working knowledge of the different design stages. Experience of designing is essential and understanding operational requirements in parallel to the look and feel. You must have at least 1 years experience within and Interior Design or architectural design company.
This role will see you assisting with the development of ideas, the production of drawings, documentation, and project data, and will take part in the development and delivery of presentations.
Candidates must have the following qualifications, experience and skills:
Minimum 1 years’ experience in a junior interior design role
Interior Design degree level qualification
Proficient user of CAD (preferably VectorWorks)
Proficient in Sketchup, InDesign, Photoshop & Microsoft Office
An eye for sketching would be advantageous
Highly organised with a flair for design and creativity
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Works well in a small team
