Job description
We are working with an AJ100 architecture and interiors company who are currently looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team within a new role for the business. This role will involve overseeing the Europe Accounts Payable and assisting the Reginal Finance Director with cash management, budgets and P&L. They are looking for someone with 5 plus years of experience doing a similar position within an architecture or design practice. The ideal candidate will be someone with strong organisational skills, data-driven and good customer service.
The Role
•Supervise Accounts Payable to support efficient workflows and monitor employee expenses, travel and credit card statements for the Europe region.
•To check and approve payment runs, ensuring a timely and accurate service.
•To conduct monthly reviews of fixed asset registers.
•Assist the Regional Finance Director with cash management and update weekly cash projections.
•Support month-end tasks and the preparation of P&L across multiple currencies and entities.
•To review costs for variances and produce cost accrual.
•To collate all necessary information for National Statistics reporting.
•To work with the Regional Finance Director to monitor spending and create budgets
•To review the monthly set of balance sheets, raising queries where necessary.
•Collaborate with the Finance team to clear the reconciling items.
•To perform an annual audit and respond to related questions.
The Candidate
•A bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting or Business Administration
•Strong experience working previously in management accounting within an architecture or design practice.
•To be highly proficient in Excel.
•Previous audit experience is essential.
•Experience with Deltek Vision and Coupa software is desirable.
•Knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, and data analytics is also desirable.
•Strong organizational skills, high level of accuracy, and keen attention to detail.
•Ability to effectively work in a high-volume environment under pressure with multiple tasks and strict deadlines.
•Willingness to embrace new technologies and constantly strive for greater efficiencies through process or technology.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work as a team and interact professionally with employees, clients and vendors.
